Privacy Policy
Crypto Ledger Portfolio Privacy Policy describes how personal data is collected, processed, stored, and protected when users interact with Crypto Ledger portfolio management features, applications, websites, and related services. This policy applies to all platforms where portfolio functionality operates, including desktop applications, mobile applications, and web properties providing portfolio management documentation and resources.
This Privacy Policy was last updated in January 2026. Periodic review is recommended as updates may occur reflecting changes in data handling practices, regulatory requirements, or service capabilities. Continued use of Crypto Ledger services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
Data Collection
Crypto Ledger Portfolio services collect limited categories of personal data necessary for providing portfolio tracking and asset management functionality.
Portfolio configuration data includes account structures, naming conventions, display preferences, and organization settings. This data is stored locally on user devices to maintain portfolio views across application sessions. No personally identifiable information is required to use portfolio features.
Asset tracking data includes anonymized information about which cryptocurrencies users monitor, portfolio size ranges, and feature usage patterns. This data supports application improvement and prioritization of new features. Tracking data does not include specific balance amounts, transaction details, or wallet addresses.
Staking interaction data includes anonymized information about staking participation across supported networks. This data helps improve staking interfaces and provider integrations without identifying individual users or their holdings.
Support interaction data includes information provided when submitting portfolio-related inquiries or communicating with support staff. This data is necessary to provide accurate guidance for portfolio management questions.
Website visitor data comprises standard server logs including IP addresses, browser types, pages visited, and timestamps. This data supports security monitoring and content improvement.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Crypto Ledger websites use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and analysis.
Essential cookies enable core website functions including navigation, session management, and security features. These cookies are necessary for proper website operation and cannot be disabled without affecting functionality.
Analytics cookies collect anonymized website usage data including portfolio documentation pages visited, feature interest patterns, and navigation sequences. These cookies support content improvement and can be disabled through the consent interface.
Preference cookies remember portfolio display preferences, selected fiat currency, and theme settings. These cookies improve the user experience and can be managed through browser settings.
Cookie preferences can be managed through settings links in website footers. Browser configuration can also control cookie acceptance, though this may affect functionality.
Analytics and Performance Monitoring
Crypto Ledger Portfolio uses analytics to understand how users interact with portfolio features. Analytics data undergoes aggregated processing and specifically excludes private keys, recovery phrases, wallet addresses, specific balance amounts, transaction details, and personally identifying information.
Portfolio feature analytics track anonymous patterns of feature usage, display preferences, and organizational approaches. This data helps prioritize development of portfolio improvements without identifying individual users.
Application analytics operate through opt-in telemetry collecting anonymized events such as feature interactions, error conditions, and performance metrics. Users declining analytics transmit no telemetry data.
Staking analytics measure anonymous participation rates and provider preferences to improve staking integrations.
Analytics data retention follows a 26-month rolling period. After this window, aggregated trend data is archived while raw event data is permanently deleted.
Third-Party Tools and Services
Crypto Ledger Portfolio integrates with third-party services for specific functions. Data shared with these services is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Price data providers supply cryptocurrency valuations for portfolio display. Queries request price data without transmitting user wallet addresses or balance information.
Blockchain network queries retrieve balance and transaction data using public addresses. This data is inherently public on blockchain networks.
Staking providers process delegation transactions when users participate in staking through Ledger Live. Provider selection and participation is user-initiated.
Cloud infrastructure providers host backend services under data processing agreements requiring compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
Data Security
Crypto Ledger Portfolio implements comprehensive technical and organizational security measures:
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data transmitted between clients and servers
- Encryption of stored data at rest using industry-standard algorithms
- Access controls restricting employee data access to authorized personnel
- Regular security audits conducted by independent third-party firms
- Incident response procedures for identifying and addressing potential breaches
- Secure development practices with code review and vulnerability testing
- Local storage of sensitive portfolio configuration data
We never ask for your recovery phrase or private keys. The Crypto Ledger architecture ensures recovery phrases and private keys exist only inside hardware wallet secure elements. These cryptographic secrets are never transmitted to Ledger servers, companion applications, or third parties. Portfolio features operate using public blockchain data without requiring private key access for balance display. Any request for recovery phrases or private keys should be immediately recognized as a phishing attempt and reported.
